I replaced a pepper plant this weekend, and added another one.  The radishes will be ready soon, and the asparagus is still popping up.

What I’ve planted so far:

  • onions, red & white
  • garlic (sprouted from the grocery store, and it isn’t coming up!)
  • assorted lettuces
  • assorted radishes
  • basil, thai, lemon & sweet
  • cilantro
  • dill
  • marjoram
  • parsley rootIMG_3271
  • parsnips (ready after the frost)
  • broccoli
  • cukes
  • zucchini
  • tomatoes, cherry & roma
  • okra
  • lavender
  • sugar pumpkin
  • spinach

Diary of a garden

15 May

Here’s where food begins, so here’s where I’ll start.

This is my first full-fledged garden.   We always had a garden growing up, but I was notorious for “weeding” the vegetables.  I’m more motivated now, and I can’t wait to harvest the first radishes and baby lettuce in a few weeks.

Much to my children’s dismay, the asparagus has already sprouted and appeared on the dinner table.
